Sacred Steps
There is the delightful sensation of the wind in your hair, or a gentle breeze on your cheek, while your muscles work to carry you slowly forward along the path. The path represents your life. Sometimes it winds, sometimes it is straight. Sometimes it climbs or descends steeply, and other times it is completely flat.
Walking becomes sacred when we bring our awareness to it. When we walk with intention, taking steps that gently touch the ground.

Depending on the time of year and the weather, we can hike in the foothills of the Pyrenees, take a relatively easy hike deep in the mountains, or spend a few days camping at the foot of the high peaks. In any case, it’s an adventure in search of the sacred within oneself.
We walk as a group.
We practice looking out for one another, waiting for slower walkers when necessary.
We receive guidance and instruction, then walk in silence to create space for inner reflection and personal dialogue.
There are opportunities to share our experiences, as well as yoga practices to support integration.
Walking is the most natural way to exercise our bodies.
When we walk with body awareness, we keep our spine straight and move forward with ease.
Walking strengthens many of the body’s muscles and stimulates internal functions. Every aspect of our being is nourished.
